Technical project consulting
Analysis and optimisation of international project, installation and implementation processes – with a focus on interfaces, quality, logistics and resources.
International Consulting · Engineering Support · Technical Prototyping
FRILING.solutions. supports international engineering and construction projects at the intersection of planning, implementation and communication.
Positioning
FRILING.solutions. combines more than two decades of professional practice with long-standing responsibility in international project business. The result is a technical, design-engineering and commercial perspective – from analysing complex processes and coordinating interfaces to producing clear, decision-ready documentation.
Service profile
The disciplines work together: understanding technical relationships, anticipating solutions and communicating results in a way that enables sound decisions.
Core service
Analysis and optimisation of international project, installation and implementation processes – with a focus on interfaces, quality, logistics and resources.
Continuity since 2007
CAD-based models and technical representations enable early verification of geometry, interfaces, installation sequences and manufacturability.
Enabling clear decisions
Complex technical content is transformed into clear project, decision-making and training documents for internal and external stakeholders.
FRILING.solutions. focuses on technical and commercial project consulting. Models, technical representations, aerial imagery and documentation are used on a project-specific basis as engineering tools for coordination, condition assessment and decision support.
Project-specific tools
Additive manufacturing and aerial documentation complement consulting and engineering where physical models or spatial overview support robust decisions.
3D printing turns digital models into presentation models, functional samples, fixtures and physical prototypes for coordination, fit checks and technical testing.
Aerial imagery supports the understanding of spatial relationships as well as condition, progress and technical project documentation.
Both tools are applied on a project-specific basis and assessed against the task, suitability and applicable legal framework.
International project experience
Technical projects across countries, companies and disciplines: with clear communication, robust decision-making information and a continuous view from concept to implementation.
Selected projects
Façade works · Major project
Project-specific consulting services for the façade package of the Jeddah Central Development Oceanarium. Covering approximately 75,000 m², the project environment includes GFRP Roshan elements, glass and aluminium works, building access systems and tiling works.
Automotive · Industrial
Consulting support within an industrial project of approximately 74,000 m². The technical scope combines façade and roofing systems, openings, sandwich panels and associated structural steel works.
Hospitality · Private client
Advisory involvement in cost estimation and project development for an architecture and design project. The contribution focused on commercial and conceptual preparation – not sole design authorship or overall planning responsibility.
Technical project development · System integration
Project-specific technical development of an integration concept for an IBS system within the Piazza utility buildings. The focus was the functional and architectural integration across an area of approximately 225 m².
Long-standing project experience
Contributions to technically demanding special constructions, including decorative wall cladding, glass façades and gates, folding walls, balustrades, and fixed and movable skylights. Personal responsibility developed from technical 3D modelling and documentation through project development, client relations and cost estimation to the management of the technical office and sales.
Selected work packages
The following work packages formed part of Sebastian Friling’s personal project involvement in the mosque and Haram expansion programmes in Makkah and Madinah.
Retrofit studies for twelve large-scale umbrellas, focusing on performance, operational safety and architectural integration.
Lighting studies for the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, focusing on perception, comfort, efficiency and operational reliability.
Glass walls, screens and door systems
Large-format glass façades
Technical and decorative balustrades
Complex oriel and façade elements
Internal decorative screens
Integrated linear lighting systems
Fixed and movable overhead glazing systems
Architecturally integrated cornice lighting
This selection describes Sebastian Friling’s personal project experience and current consulting services provided by FRILING.solutions. It does not imply sole authorship or overall responsibility for any of the projects listed.
Origins · since 2007
Digital models and technical representations have been part of the working method since the business was established. This selection from FRILING.imaging. illustrates that origin as a historical methodology – not as the current portfolio.
Approach
Structured, technically grounded and close to implementation – remotely or on site, in German or English, and across national and time-zone boundaries.
Capture technical, organisational and spatial relationships.
Bring together interfaces, stakeholders and viable implementation routes.
Document decisions, methods and results in a clear and traceable form.
Profile
Sebastian Friling holds a German Diplom-Ingenieur degree, equivalent to a Master’s-level engineering qualification, and brings more than 20 years of professional experience. His professional specialisation is façade engineering and technical project development.
His career began in technical 3D modelling, digital prototyping and technical documentation. Through many years of international responsibility in engineering, industrial and construction projects – with a particular focus on the MENA region – his scope developed through project development, international client relations, cost estimation and technical office management to sales leadership.
Today, FRILING.solutions. brings this technical, design-engineering and commercial experience together in project consulting that remains close to implementation.
